Canzine 2013 is right around the corner, and Broken Pencil is looking for volunteers to help out! As a volunteer, you will work alongside the Broken Pencil staff to set up, tear down, take photographs, take money, and convince passers-by to come join in on the fun!
In exchange for your time and energy, you will receive a 1-year subscription to the magazine, free admission to the events, and lunch and a drink ticket at the festival. More importantly, you will sleep better at night knowing that your efforts have helped a non-profit organization and the independent arts community. Interested?! I wad an official vendor for Toronto Youth Day 2013 and have set up tents at St.Lawrence Market on numerous occasions; I have plenty of experience in building and tearing down sets.
I have worked in Cashier + Customer Service roles so I can handle people as well as money.
Most importantly, though, is the fact that I run my own business. I have taken over the family vintage shop, so I’m always forced to come up with new ideas on marketing and interacting with the public.
