Now that the dust has settled from Canzine TO and we’ve had a day to recover, just want to say a big ol’ thank you to a bunch of folks, including:

+ all you amazing vendors who brought your work to share with us and the world
+ all the parents who encouraged their kids to stop by our kids’ zinemaking art room and learn from instructors Annie Wong and Melissa Luk!
+ thanks to the OCAD University Nano Publishing class and Anthea Black for their genius POLITICANZINE project (DON’T FORGET TO VOTE TODAY!)
+thanks to our national presenting sponsor John Fluevog Shoes
+ thank you to our national education partner Seneca College and instructor Martha Newbigging for leading a great mixed-media zinemaking workshop and helping attendees produce some gorgeous work (we were blown away!)
+ Thank you to all our  witchcraft/occult panel participants, Radical readers, zine race comic artists and 1-2 Punch Book pitch participants and judges for being awesome, smart, hilarious, incisive and generally just chill as heck!
+ thanks to our national, regional and media sponsors: Canada Council for the Arts, Access Copyright, Ontario Arts Council – Conseil des arts de l’Ontario, BookThug, Magazines Canada, TCAF – The Toronto Comic Arts Festival, Invisible Publishing, University of Toronto Bookstore, Urbane Cyclist, the Toronto Arts Council, blogTO and CIUT-FM
+ HUGE thanks to our wonderful host venue AGO – Art Gallery of Ontario, Adult Programming Coordinator Kathleen Mclean and all the staff and tech assistants who helped make the day a breeze and provided us with a big, beautiful and accessible venue!
+ thanks to all of the Broken Pencil staff and volunteers and especially our volunteer coordinator Norah Franklin and vendor wrangler/magician Matt Gordon!
+ last but not least, thanks to everyone who came out, said hello, gave a hug, bought a zine or subscription and showed your support!
It takes a village to put on an event of this size and we are so lucky to be part of such a supportive, kind and brilliant community here in TO. WE LOVE ALL OF YOU!!!!
