The 24-Hour Zine Challenge is a yearly event where one attempts to make a 24 page zine from start to finish in 24 hours.  Everything from initial idea right through to photocopying/collating/stapling your zine takes place in one day. More information, a list of this year's participants and sign up information can be found at the 24 hour zine thing site.

Please note that you don't have to register and/or send in your zine when it's finished - you're encouraged to participate to whatever degree you're most comfortable with, or just come hang out and cheer the participants on!

The Toronto Zine Library ask that you bring your ideas and, perhaps, a snack to share while participants hang out, listen to music, and get a start on their zines. Some supplies will be available on site, such as paper, glue, scissors, magazine clippings, a couple of typewriters, and a long arm stapler, but you can feel free to bring anything else you will need to make your zine. There is also a 24 hour Kinkos a half-block away from the event.

Similar to the event held at the Independent Pubishing Resource Center in Portland Oregon a few days ago, the Toronto Zine Library will be streaming its 24 hour zine challenge event live! If you're unable to join, bookmark this link and tune in on today starting at 6pm EST and participate from wherever you may be.
