Amos the Transparent

The Transparent are comparing themselves into redundancy. This is music best enjoyed seven or eight years ago when the soft harmonies, hint of electronica and knowledgeable musical pastiche would have been intriguing. But just as I have banished the words eclectic, quirky and heartfelt from my vocabulary, so must I reserve the right to be critical of music that evokes said terminology. This is music made for people who know and appreciate their influences, but I was hoping for something that dug a bit deeper. A little more soul might fill in that musical hole. (Karyn Bonham)
