Sure, they’re from Portland, but they have a French name, Quebec label and sometimes even sing a little Franglais to get into the spirit of things. Luckily everything else is AngloAmerican pop-rock stripped down to guitar, drums and singing. Sounds familiar? Well, at least half the time EA rise above and craft some new constellation of the same old in a way that feels old-new in the best kind of way. N’est pas? (Terence Dick)
