Himalayan Bear,…Attacks the Brilliant Air

At first I hated this. The lyrics are amazingly pretentious, the singer has a sort of Jeff Buckley vibe going on, but then I really got into how much of a process the songs are. They’re all really long and it takes forever for anything to happen. They start out small and excruciating and build to gigantic and hysterical, typically over eight minutes or so. That’s when it hit me: Pretentious just means interesting! Boy, was I ever stupid last Thursday. Glad I’m over it now. A good cure for “Ilikedthemicrophonesuntilmy roommategotintothemitis”.
