Shulz – What Apology

I dropped this into the CD player and was transported back to the ’60s. It sounds just like the Beatles, I thought. It is the Beatles, I thought. Then I realized my wife had left a disc in the machine so I took it out and pressed play again and was transported back to the ’80s. It sounds just like the sort of thing I might have once searched out to feed my Big Black jones: punk guitars, drum machines and gruff vocals. Too gruff for my liking, care of some dude who used to play in KMFDM. That takes me back to the early ’90s and all those industrial rock bands riding on the coattails of Nine Inch Nails; even the ones who’d been around for years. I wonder what they’re doing now?
