Still Life

Think twilight zone. A lone traveller enters a small town inhabited by mannequins. They never move while he’s watching, but if he looks away and looks back he finds that these creepy, expressionless figures are all looking at him. At first funny, the mood of the film quickly turns creepy as he finds himself in darker situations. Though this is a very short film that I saw in a program alongside dozens of others at the Worldwide Short Film Festival, Still Life stood out and begs repeated viewings. (Lindsay Gibb)
