I feel like I can’t generalize about Kevin Pearce’s writing based on this zine for two reasons. The first is that it’s from 2007, and the second is that it’s like six pages long. I’m not really sure what the point of this thing is, though. There are a few non-stories, a couple of poems, all just kind of sitting there, title-less. The stories read more like emails a friend would send you about story ideas. Actually, one of them even says: “I thought of a good idea for a short story.” And then there’s like half a paragraph of story ideas and then he sort of gives up. So, you know, whatever.
