The Best of Lickin’ The Beaters 2 is nicely put together with consistent design and cute illustrations. This foodie zine, that weighs in at a whopping 80-pages, is packed with vegan recipes, from caramel corn and fudge to double-decker chocolate mint cheesecake and chocolate marshmallow almond pie. There is even a helpful glossary of vegan ingredients and pages of useful candy hints. Reading this zine, you really feel like you are gleaning valuable kitchen secrets from an experienced candy maker.

From what I gather, the authors of Lickin’ the Beaters are going through the process of getting these sweet treats published as a book. In the meantime, the first volume, Lickin’ the Beaters: Low Fat Vegan Desserts, is available online. (Grace Evans)
