This quick illustrated story from Andrew Goldfarb is a dark and surreal tale that revels in a whimsical, Tim Burton-esque artistic style. The story itself is merely a vehicle for the artwork, which is simple black on light-green illustration with a bizarro gothic slant. This reminds me of an old comic book series called Lenore, though more common frames of reference would be Sleepy Hollow and the Lemony Snicket series of books.
