Abbottsford, BC’s You Say Party! We Say Die! released one of 2005’s most pleasant surprises, Hit the Floor, a ferocious dance-punk gem of an album that catapulted the band out of the suburbs and into the stratosphere. Indeed, YSP! are currently one of the top fifty bands in rotation on the Japanese equivalent of Much Music and their new album, Lose All Time, picks up right where Hit the Floor left off, albeit it with much more maturity and assuredness. A tightly crafted disc, the most striking feature of Lose All Time may well be the mastery with which the band has successfully captured the frenzy of their live show without sacrificing any of their strengths as singers and musicians.
