Cormorant Books are calling for submissions for this groundbreaking book, An Anthology of Filipino-Canadian writing. They are looking for original, previously unpublished prose (non-fiction or fiction) as well as, possibly, poetry, graphic literature, or works in hybrid forms, that responds to the following theme: ‘Being Filipina/Filipino/Filipinx in Canada now’

 

Submissions

Submission Guidelines
Dates: All submissions must be in by January 31, 2022 by 11:59 PM PST. Entries received after
this time will not be eligible.
Fee: There is no fee to submit work in response to this call; writers are simply asked to follow our
guidelines. Contributors will be paid for their work, and will receive copies of the book.
Word count: Submissions can be up to 6,000 words. We will consider prose (non-fiction or
fiction), poetry, graphic literature, or hybrid/experimental forms.

Requirements
• All authors must be Canadian citizens or Canadian permanent residents
• All authors must be of Filipino ancestry and identify as Filipina/o/x
• All authors must be resident in Canada
• All submissions must be new; that is, not previously published in book format, be it print or
electronic, that carries an ISBN
