The HIV Howler: Transmitting Art + Activism is a limited edition art newspaper focusing on global grassroots HIV art and cultural production. Artists have and continue to play a fundamental role in shaping broader societal understandings of HIV and working within the communities that are most impacted by the virus: queer and trans people, people who use drugs, sex workers, people of colour, Indigenous peoples.

We’ll be in conversation with Anthea Black, Darien Taylor and Marcus Borton from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. in the Canzine Events room (Seminar 1).

You’ll be able to get your very own copy of the Howler at the launch event or at the Broken Pencil merch table throughout the day!
