Broken Pencil took a road trip to Montreal this past weekend to table at the 10th annual Expozine. Over the years the fair has grown into a mammoth two day extravaganza that encompasses both the French and English arts and literature communities of Montreal. Myself and our wonder volunteer Melissa Luk spent two days selling magazines, flirting with Montreal zinesters and going fangirl over our indie art heroes. The fair featured many of the same faces as past years and a warm reception from old friends, but there was miles of new stuff, and highlights such as a clown invasion, a guy dressed like this and a beautiful Expozine ten year anniversary issue of Four Minutes to Midnight, collecting the best work from the annals of yesteryear.
