Canzine Portraits: Stolen Ground

stolen-ground

Stolen Ground is a photo zine press that’s been alive for two years now. It’s easy to make photo zines that look bad, but Stolen Grounds make zines that look good. Based in Montreal, this punk-style printer, covers everything from sex to skateboarding to travel to mosh-pits. They work entirely with independent photographers, and print DIY style, staple stitched zines. The zines themselves range from single-artist books, like Blossoms by Cassandra Cacheiro which is a work of female portraiture, to the Stolen Ground series which features 30 different artists in every issue. Catch them and all their stock at this year’s Toronto Canzine.
