Artificial Womb is a Scottish feminist arts zine created by Ana Hine and Alfie Pound. It takes up issues of sex, gender, and sexuality through writing and art.

One of the things that makes AW so awesome is that they were founded not just as a platform for intersectional feminist discourse, but also as a response to the unpaid internship culture in the UK’s creative industries. What this mean is that they are committed to paying their contributors for their work.

This commitment to paying artists is extremely important, but, of course, means that they need some funding to do so. That’s where you come in! AW is raising £1500 to launch their zine as a viable business after a successful trial run last year. Perks for donating to their kickstarter include copies of the zines, bracelets, sketch potraits, original poems, embroidery and even events hosted in your hometown (UK only).
