Love-themed poetry slams in Montreal,  art zine launches in Toronto and more.

TORONTO

February 8-19, The 33rd Rhubard Festival, Various Locations, PWYC – $20

The 33rd edition of Toronto’s experimental theatre festival returns this February. There are mainstage events as well as smaller offerings from the young creators and smaller troupes. Ticket prices range.

February 10, Know Love,  LE Gallery, 1183 Dundas St W, Toronto, 7 pm, Free

Artist Elicser releases her art book all about the simplicity and beauty of love, just in time for Valentine’s Day.

February 11, Deze Daze: Zine Launch/Art Talk, Forgetus Collective: 163 Sterling Rd. Unit 29, 12pm-5pm, Free

The Forgetus Collective hosts a closing reception for its “Nostaligia” show, while launching a newsprint poster zine Deze Daze from artists Drew Lint, Marishka Radwanski and Kelsey Stasiak.

CHARLOTTETOWN

MONTREAL

The love poems do go down easier when done in proper poetry slam style, with headlining poet Alessandra Naccarato. Each poet gets fives minutes to tell a poem related to the theme of love (it’s wide open here). You can reserve a spot in advance or sign up the night of.
