At the Pop-Up Comedy Jam, comedians will perform a mixed bag of your improv favourites, plus break into a comedy jam based upon your suggestions. Featuring Jordan Krahn, Barbara Kozicki, Graeme Duffy, Brad Rossington, Dan Dumsha, Alan Pavlakovic
and Andrew Barber.

Saturday July 21 – Wednesday July 25, Free Public Art School, Project Space, 222 E Georgia Street, must pre-register

Summer School will operate as a free public art school that offers single- and multi-session classes on such topics as backstrap weaving, mushroom spore printing, indigo kites, air tasting, solar photograms, chapbooks, rainbow pasta and plastic crafts. Instructors Erin Jane Nelson and Ming Lin will curate finished works by students for an exhibition opening July 27. Pre-register here.

Come hear Quebec comic artist Michel Rabagliati discuss his creative process and his new book in English, The Song of Roland, onstage with Rupert Bottenberg. The award winning new book focuses on the life and death of the father-in-law of Rabagliati’s alter-ego Paul. Halifax-based artist Claire Seringhaus will be present to launch her new book of absurdist Dada drawings The Blaring House.

Local leaders will serve as conversation starters after a jaunt through some of the most picturesque neighbourhoods in HRM. Men and women alike are invited to participate in a monthly conversation about what’s happening in their lives with no political knowledge required.
