Samantha Bernstein, David Lee and Royston Tester launch their new books at Revival.

Thursday, June 21, 6:00-8:00pm, Wayworn Wooden Floors Launch, Nicholas Hoare Books, 45 Front Street East

The Porcupine’s Quill presents the launch of Mark Lavorato’s book of poetry, Wayworn Wooden Floors.. Please join Mark at Nicholas Hoare Books on June 21 from 6pm-8pm to celebrate the publication of his collection. Refreshments and snacks will be served.

Saturday June 23, 1:00-4:00pm, Free Lemonade and Signed Photos of John Stamos, Christie Pits Park

This weird and hilarious-looking event is held by the Marxist Nudist Taxidermy Club. We can’t vouch for whether there will actually be lemonade or signed photos of our favorite Full House uncle, but we are intrigued enough to make an appearance.

Wednesday June 20, 6:00-8:00pm, Zine Cataloging Party, Anchor Archive Zine Library, Roberts Street Social Centre, 5684 Roberts

The wonderful zine library is currently cataloguing its stock for inclusion in a searchable online catalogue. They could always use more help – why not stop by and lend a hand? New cataloguers will receive training. There will be snacks.

Wednesday June 20, 8:00pm, Orgasm Zine Launch Party, One Block Barber Shop, 2010 Gottingen Street

The Orgasm Zine is a collection of personal stories by women about their orgasm experiences. There will be readings, an orgasm story recording booth, a screening of the film Orgasm Inc, and zines can be purchased for $5.

Saturday June 23, 2:00 – 4:00pm, Mike Holmes Meet and Greet, Strange Adventures Comix and Curiosities, 5262 Sackville Street

Local artist and graphic novelist Mike Holmes will be in attendance to sign copies of Adventure Time #5 (Boom Studios) as well as copies of all his other rad books, which you can check out here.
