Canzine, Canada’s biggest zine fair, is only a few weeks away (Sunday, October 23) for Toronto and Canzine West in Vancouver is not far behind (Sunday, November 13). Every week until Canzine and Canzine West, we’ll be revealing a new portrait of a performer. First up, meet writer Rob Benvie, who will be reading at Canzine in Toronto.
Rob Benvie is a Haligonian currently living in Toronto. He was a part of the indie band, Thrush Hermit in the 90’s and currently plays guitar for Montreal-based band, The Dears. He’s also known to record and perform under his solo act, Tigre Benvie. His newest novel, Maintenance will be released by Coach House Books in October 2011.
