Take a minute to listen to More or Les’ ‘Big Lunch in Little China’

More Or Les

Big Lunch in Little China Independent moreorles.bandcamp.com

Toronto’s More Or Les is known for his food-based raps, but on this one, he’s serving up instrumentals built on vocal samples from the film Big Trouble in Little China and a breakbeat backdrop he calls “lunch breaks.” Big Lunch in Little China is occasionally reminiscent of the Beastie Boys’ Hello Nasty, but primarily continues the mood of Les’ 2013 Doctor Who-themed album, Bigger On The Inside — the vibe is decidedly sinister, though somehow playful. John Carpenter could have used this in 1986.
