YouTube is stuffed with videos of amateur musicians plonking around with their axes in their living rooms. They are, without exception, tedious to watch. A genius called Kutiman has fixed that by squashing them all together. The guy has plumbed the depths of YouTube for these unassuming clips, sampled them and resequenced them as genuinely good music played by a band of a thousand strangers who have never met. If the Internet ever achieves sentience, this is what its music videos will look like. (Derek Winkler)
