FIVE YEARS is a long time in the zine collective world. That’s why New York City project The Pantyhoes is celebrating all summer! The self-described “community of badass woman artists who stick it to the man” is hosting a July 21 birthday party showcasing multiple artists, plus a woman and non-gendered comedy show with Bunt Cake Zine in August. Hannah Palant, founder, feels the collective model allows women to connect and collaborate with other artists. Although not every collaboration is perfect, she emphasizes that “if you both are down, that’s when the magic happens, baby.”
