For the first time in Canzine history, we will be featuring a musical by the ever-so talented and ridiculously hilarious zinester legend Dave Cave! (If you don’t believe me about the hilarity factor, check out his blog here.)

That’s right, folks. A MUSICAL and DAVE CAVE in the same sentence. It’s already extremely enticing. His musical is entitled Everybody Moon Jump and is based on his perzine of the same name. A musical based on a zine. This has never happened at Canzine before, so it should be rather interesting and definatly something you don’t want to miss. This is history in the making. I’m telling you.

“Everybody Moon Jump:  The Mental Health Comedy Zine Musical is here and it is jizzing all over your dad’s face.  Please hold your applause and your family doctor prescribed anti-anxiety medication close to your heart because I’m about to get real sloppy on all your zine-hearts.

I will be half-crying, half-joking, reenacting real life break ups, and changing into my gym clothes.  Can I sing?  Yes.  But more importantly… do I sing?  Answer: hell fucking yes.  This is all based on my perzine, Everybody Moon Jump which is based on my life, you guys…. my life.  From big city demonic hallucinations, to small town beet farmer, to stocky slutty gym bro, it is all written!

If you can’t handle me at my sweat pants, then you don’t deserve me at my straight jacket.
