The salon-style reading series in the living rooms of locals is back with an extra special holiday extra-extravaganza, that is to say six young writers reading their new work. BYOB!

Artist Walter Ruston hosts Toronto’s longest-running life drawing class.

Dec. 17, “Zine Zone @ XPACE,” XPACE Cultural Centre, 58 Ossington Avenue, 12pm

XPACE’s Cultural Centre is hosting its second annual zine fair at its Ossington digs. Stop on by for some handmade goodness before the holidays.

Montreal

Dec. 15, “C Is For Cell Comic Book Launch,” Casa Del Popolo (Old Room), 4873 Boulevard Saint-Laurent, 5pm

Come celebrate cartoonist and comic Kate Lavut as she unveils her new comic book “C is for Cell.”

The first-ever Za Za Zine Fair  in London, Ontario  is on for this weekend with work from local artists, like Marc Bell, Jason Mclean, Peter Thompson, as well as musical stylings that start up in the evening.
