“The Factory Cards” and “This is Science Fiction”
Hey! Billy! Thanks a bundle for sending along these two chapbook beauties – but what about an address old chum? Huh? How I am supposed to send folks off to discover – gawd, haven’t they discovered you yet? – the swirling chunky phantasma of your bulging illustrations? I mean anyone who remembers the Angry Beaver Broken Pencil cover illustration from some issues back, will most surely want to track you down and snap up some of these delicacies… Especially now that you’ve teamed up with Albrecht Durer, whose cartoons, it seems to me, could move mountains. A web page just ain’t enough bud, you know what I mean – what if folks don’t have a computer? And with obvious aesthetic peace that’s happening in these here little books – as cool as they might look online – people will also want to flip gloriously back to front, front to back whether they’re standing on the subway platform or resting on a cold mountain trail. So c’mon, Billy, where are you? (HC)
