This zine used to be called 59Ā¢. It’s mostly about Metal and travel stories. First we have Alison’s rather passionate account of the day she went to see King Diamond in San Antonio, TX. Then we have two State of Metal articles that bash on MTV and mediocre bands corrupting the scene. Big surprise there, welcome to the world of music. After that is a lengthy and informative account of Gretchen’s trip to Scandinavia, followed by a train-hopping adventure through BC to Yukon. Both are highlights. After that come a slew of record reviews, with a preponderance on metal but covering other “rock ‘n’ roll” bands, in the wide sense of the term. A short and funny tale about the Burning Man festival wraps this thing up for a decent issue. (FA)
