Ooofff this thing is long and my eyes are weighed down by the heaviness of a thousand different fonts constantly changing. The band interviews alone weighed a few kilograms. Still, if you are at all into new music with goth overtones, the weight of this tome should not dissuade you. Bend at the knees and get into it. Liisa asks intelligent questions to people that aren’t stupid like Peter Murphy and the US act Marilyn Manson. Of course the incredibly bad poetry might crush you, but think of it this way: That’s what being goth is all about. Well written zine reviews and some wild gnomic goth kid pics make me feel better about the poundage crushing my knees. I wind up with a laugh, the very earnest, very hilarious essay by Corrinne Fairbanks on The Victorian Kitchen. Read all about it. Meat larders and everything.
