Writing good haiku is a bitch. You’ve got three lines. Without setting anything up, without developing any kind of mood, without context of any kind, you have to create an image that startles the reader in some way. It’s amazing, considering how many poems are packed into this little mag, that many of them come close to accomplishing this. And more than a few manage to accomplish it with stunning success. RAW NerVZ isn’t all haiku. But what all the pieces in have in common is the way language gets explored. This is a truly a place where poets are testing the limits of what language can do.
