Run Amok Books

About: Run Amok exists to fill a hole in this country’s cultural fabric left by corporatately run publishers, who make editorial choices based solely on marketability and bottom line. They tend toward the obscure and the strange, the irreverent and the profane. They love experimental forms and interesting voices. These are the things that matter to them at Run Amok. These are the things they want to bring to readers.

Submissions: Run Amok Crime is seeking submissions for a new crime-fiction anthology to be entitled Jacked. They are simply seeking the very best collection of crime stories they can put together. Specifically, they are looking for both genre and non-genre pieces. The only criteria is that somewhere in there, a law needs to be fractured.

They will be considering short-shorts, novelettes of up to 10,000 words, and everything between. While we will lean towards unpublished works, reprints will be considered so long as you, the writer, retain copyright. (In the case of reprints, please provide complete publication information.) And yes, we want to hear from first-timers as much as established writers.

Submissions will open on Nov. 1, 2021 and close on Feb. 15, 2022. Please include a one-paragraph bio with your submission.
