Submissions
Third Iris Zine is looking for any creative contribution that can be printed. It must adhere to the theme of nostalgia. “We’d like to hear about what strikes nostalgia in you. Whether it’s a song, story, smell, or something else entirely, we want our next issue to be a celebration of the things that inspire longing and happiness and share them with our readers.”
Requirements
- Prose
- Accepting any type of written works including, but not limited to: nonfiction (creative or expository), interviews, fiction. Excerpts should be stand alone.
- Limit 2 works per person. Each work should not exceed 8,000 words. Please attach submissions as .doc or .docx files
- Poetry
- Limit 5 works per person. Please attach submissions as .doc or .docx files or if you have formatting that you would like to preserve, please submit as a .pdf file.
- Visual Works
- Accepting any type of visual works including, but not limited to: drawings, paintings, collages, digital art, photography.
- Limit 5 works per person. Please attach submissions as .jpeg, .jpg, or .png files. Include the medium (e.g. film, digital, watercolors, acrylics) when possible.

How to Submit
- Please title the files with your initials, an underscore, and then the name of the work (e.g. BP_magazine).
- Email [email protected] and include “submission” in the subject line.
- If you are submitting a collection/series, please identify if you are okay with Third Iris Zine accepting individual pieces or if you want us to consider the series as one work.
- Encourage brief artist bios and a brief explanation of your work and its relationship to the theme.
