Info for Vendors!

✿ Please arrive at the library at 9 am and check in with Canzine staff. 

✿ Canzine officially kicks off at 10 am. 

✿ You will be sharing a 6 ft table with another vendor, so make sure to be respectful of sharing the space. 

✿ We will be having lots of events, so try to find time to check them out! 

✿ Make sure to share and promote Canzine on your social media! This lets your friends and fans know that you’ll be at Canzine so they can come check out all your cool stuff!

✿ Canzine ends at 5 pm. Please make sure to clean up all your stuff and, if you can, take down your table and return your chairs. 

Accessibility & Venue Info

✿ Canzine 2022 is located at the Toronto Reference Library on the 1st and 3rd floors. 

✿ The library is accessible to those with mobility devices, and accessible washrooms are available on both floors. These washrooms are also gender-neutral. 

✿ Please note that the stage on the first floor where the drop-in zine making will be taking place has 2 steps up to it, and no ramp is available. 

✿ Service animals are welcome in the library and at Canzine. 

✿ Food and drinks are allowed only on the first floor of the library.

Over Stimulation Relaxation Station

Location: Behind the Stage (there will be signage directing)

Canzine Toronto 2022 will be offering a quiet, sensory reading room located in the green room behind the stage for folks who need a break. There will be signage directing you towards the room and volunteer staff who can also assist. The room will have desks, seating, and water bottles and contain various stimming tools that will be sanitized regularly (Quantities are limited). There will also be lots of books, comics, and zines to read!

The door entering the room does not have an automatic opening or mechanical push button doors however a staff member will be in the room at all times to open the door as needed. Please note that the room is small and space is limited.

What is Canzine?

Canzine is a festival of zines and underground print culture. This year, Broken Pencil Magazine is hosting the festival in Toronto and Ottawa!

Is there an entry fee?

No! Admission to all Canzine fests is free! 

What happens at Canzine?

Hundreds of vendors and creators of comics, zines and underground art gather together to show off their stuff. You can buy, trade and meet the creators! There are also readings, workshops, exhibits and more (see the events page for details)!

How do I browse Canzine?

✿  Pick up a program to check out the vendor list and event times.

✿  Make sure you hit all the sections — with as many as 260 vendors at Canzine  Toronto, there’s a lot to see, do, and eager creators waiting for you to visit!

✿  Don’t be shy about chatting with people, especially vendors!

✿  Make sure you bring $$$, preferably small bills and change, because most vendors won’t have credit card machines.

✿  Take a break and add to our communal zine on the stage, take a look at some art, or hang out in our chill space

✿  Share your photos on Instagram and Twitter @brokenpencilmag using the hashtag: #Canzine.
