Tuesday February 12/Wednesday February 13, 6-9pm, 3-D Printing and Kissing Booth, Untitled&Co, 717 Queen Street West

This is a fun and interactive pop-up event where groups of friends, couples and individuals can come together, strike a fun pose and have themselves immortalized in three dimensions.  Our event will feature live 3D printing and scanning every evening of the week leading up to Valentine’s day. All attendees can have themselves scanned in three dimensions with the opportunity to purchase a 3D printed miniature of themselves afterwards.

 

 

 

Tuesday February 12, 7:30pm, This is Not A Reading Series: Do Guitars Gently Weep? Gladstone Hotel, 1214 Queen Street West

Ann Ireland’s new novel The Blue Guitar, a tale of love, art and redemption, is the focus of TINARS’ first event for 2013. Her book, published by Dundurn Press, dramatizes the lives that intersect with Toby, a talented musician who wants to come back from his biggest failure and make something of his life.

Wednesday February 13, 9:30pm, Rejected! Tales of Romance Gone Wrong, Comedy Bar, 945 Bloor Street West

It’s a stand-up/storytelling/variety show about all of our worst attempts at love. Featuring Carolyn Nesling, Brandon E. Moneyy, Jessica Fitzpatrick, The Cheeky Chappies, Marc Hallworth and Sara Hennessey. Hosted by Archi Zuber.

360 Screenings is back with their fourth immersive screening, on February 14th 2013, for a special Valentine’s Edition. After the success of three previously sold-out shows the highly anticipated event promises to be 360 Screenings largest to date. A fusion of live theatre and cinema, 360 Screenings offers audiences the chance to not only watch a film but to become part of it. Located in one of Toronto’s beautiful historic buildings the event features a live theatre portion where the audience is encouraged to engage and interact while actors play out scenes from a beloved film of the past. London-based artist-curated bookshop Luminous Books finds shelter at Unit/Pitt Projects this month. Luminous Books is a temporary bookshop of second hand fiction, philosophy, and cultural curiosities, alongside reading lists and visual compositions, exploring paths of reading and creative intersections between disciplines. A collaboration with artist-led book project Owl Cave, based in San Francisco, responds to the internal logic of building and navigating a collection, with extracts from Owl Cave’s library of feminist literature and a selection of contemporary artistic publications.
