This is a pretty good advocacy/personal zine. Ava gets sick of being treated like shit, so she tells off her boss and quits her job. This leaves her with a lot of spare time. She goes to the library, teaches herself to crochet (what’s with the crotcheting!), and strips the paint off a dresser. She ends up as a counsellor at a camp, which she tells us all about. There’s a great non-sequitur piece in the middle about swallowing a frog the size of a nickel. The zine is probably worth it just for that bit. The advocacy bit comes when Ava tells us to recycle, and describes a few of her own recycling projects. Very industrious, considering she eats frog. (HN)
