Maybe it’s because I missed the first 26 issues, but this comic is really hard to follow. It seems to be about novice private eye Johnny Morocco, but another story keeps interrupting with no explanation. Maybe it would make sense if I read the back issues. As it is, this issue by itself didn’t exactly thrill me. The black and white art is pleasingly stark, but nothing really happens. I need action, excitement, adventure or at least a story of some sort. I do like his secretary’s line, though: “I’m not sure that he can see you now.” “Oh? He has another appointment?” “No, his eyes are swollen shut from receiving a severe beating.” (KR)
