This is a music zine concentrating on the indie scene (in the largest possible meaning of indie) in Eastern Canada, with some more attention given to Ottawa. The bands they interview (North of America, Peaches, the Peter Parkers, and some other artists) do not seem to have much to say, but I partly blame that on the interviewers. However, Nick Leyton of Toronto overcomes them and says lots of smart things. There are a few zine reviews, and lots of music reviews from major and indie labels alike. Good music does not depend on the label! I dig the dot matrix printer layout. With the advent of cheap inkjet printers, that kind of printing disappeared. I wonder why, since tons of people still do typewriter-type layout… To sum this up, if you do not mind writers that kind of suck up to the bands (I guess that is what a fanzine is about) and you dig Eastern Canadian bands, you should get this.
