Uncertain as to what actually constitutes this zine, I will consider this handful of small stapled booklets in totality. The contents include abstract expressionist comics that remind me of Yamatsuka Eye’s surreal Japanese school-book cartoons; that is, when they don’t remind me of puerile attempts at absurdity. Then again, there is a very wiggly line between the two. There is some “ssientous fictien” and a page “for Robert Wyatt” (a musician whom I don’t find mentioned very often in zines, let alone magazines). There is good use of dead space and there is a booklet consisting of blurred words, which might explain Linus’s renunciation of meaning and descent into nonsense. Then again, it might explain the secrets of the atom. Who knows? (TD)
