When I say dead space, I mean white space, the part of the photocopied sheet that has nothing on it. It’s called dead space because most printers think of pages in terms of money and blank pages mean wasted money. There could be an advertisement there or another picture or anything. But not nothing. I happen to like nothing, though. A single picture or a few words on an empty page demands attention. Sara the minstrel of words and Michael the minstrel of images show restraint and exercise their talent for arranging sparse pages with a few evocative phrases or a small photo or someone’s hair. I also like the grain of photocopying but I’ll save my explanation for another review. (TD)
