Not only the right feels that there needs to be controls on the way that our taxes are spent. One specific and ongoing effort is war tax resistance, a struggle to divert taxes from military spending to paying for efforts to meet human needs. From poems to a list of resources to news of efforts to build a world free of war, this is a very good introduction to the world of the people who seriously oppose war and violence of any sort.
