Robota is a lego distopia.
In a grey, dank room robotic roosters fight for an animatronic audience. A paraplegic man is the center of this story as he gets caught in the middle of a brawl following the results of the cock-fight. But, rather than the storyline, the atmosphere and the animation are the thrill of this film. Though they’re made of lego, the characters faces are extremely expressive and the way they move, and what happens to their bodies because of their constructive qualities, is bizarrely enthralling.
