Words taken out of context, plastered on cardboard and piled high in an envelope, the collected works of no one, the miscellaneous mystery of a dream pen-pal. You don’t have to understand this to be awed by its sheer mystery. The postcards pursue a number of narratives, all of which seem to revolve around the fictional life of one Dave Dyment. A sample: “D Dyment: Steve Allen is interested in making a video of your biography. Contact him through 700 Club. There are certain conditions. He is in America right now. HvB.” You cannot argue with the text. The text, regardless of everything, irregardless of the time we have to waste, the text is everything. The kind of project that comes highly reccomended for all the wrong reasons.
