White Trash Debutante
This is as personal a perzine as you’re likely to find. Renee starts off by providing all the details in her life that interfered with her zine schedule. She then writes a particularly gripping and honest account of her breakup with her old boyfriend. Then it’s on to the warm fuzzy stuff as she writes about her new beau-hunk Sean and his cats. Not to be outdone, Sean then introduces himself. It’s mostly voyeuristic treacle, but I devoured every word of it. A short column called “Slut Attack” that castigated guys for their poor sexual technique was a real eye-opener, but sadly offered more complaints than recommendations. (DF)
