This zine reviews the Canadian underground electronic music scene. I don’t know any of the bands in here, and even consultations with my more knowledgeable friends doesn’t bring much data. The first feature is a very useful mini dictionary of electronic music styles, which is rather accurate and wide-ranging. The interview with Jim DeJong of Doomsday Transmissions/The Ceiling records is informative but kind of boring. The interview with Bud Reiser is fairly uninformative and pretty boring. Most of the reviews are of tapes, with some CDs and 7″ records thrown in. Yes, it’s that underground. Most of the bands seem to be doing noise/industrial-related music, to some extent. Even with the dictionary, this baby’s for connoisseurs only. (FA)
