The Toronto Comic Arts Festival recently announced that this year’s festival will include their first ever zine fair, Zineland Terrace! As the name suggests, the fair will be happening at the Cumberland Terrace, a bizarre and partially abandoned abandoned mall in Yorkville that directly neighbours the festivals primary venue, the Toronto Reference Library.
In a city where decent t space is hard to come by, and in a neighbourhood overrun with luxury boutiques and bank buildings, the idea of zinesters taking over a mall tickles us something great. We also love this poster by Victor Martins and Rabeea Syed!
The fair will take place over two days, May 12-13th, , and applications are open now. Check out the post on the TCAF website for all of the details you’ll need to apply before the April 27th deadline.
