Ralph
Ralph used to manage the Diodes, a 70’s punk band. This zine seems to be Ralph’s way of re_establishing his own existence, which is, by the look of it, growing more and more tentative with each day that the Diodes and punk rock recede further into the anus of history. Much of Ralph (the zine) constitutes a lament for the good old days when Ralph (the person) got a taste of commercial success. There’s a rundown of Ralph’s latest projects (with some pretty heavy name_dropping), a little autobiographical story, some song lyrics and a couple of pages of mini_reviews of Ralph’s favourite zines. Sometimes when I read one of these one_man_show type zines I wish I knew what the person who made the zine looked like. In this case, my wish comes true. Ralph put a picture of himself on the cover. Thank you Ralph. (KS)
