Ahead of Canzine 2013, we will be doing short profiles of some vendors we’d like you to know about. If you’re a vendor and you have something you’d like us to share, drop us a line at [email protected].
Ness Lee’s “Stampede Love.” See more at nesslee.com
The wonderfully talented Ness Lee is a Toronto-based illustrator. Her works combines the ribald and the beautifully sublime, featuring Brobdingnagian interactions with giant sensual bodies, sexy sumo wrestlers, hot dogs, drugs, and more.
We are really excited about Ness’ Canzine project – she’s bringing a zine bubblegum machine! Yes! She’s invited over 15 artists to create tiny zines sized to about 1 x 1.5 inches that will be selling for only 25 cents! Ness says she’s excited to debut these “visually stunning little books.” “I love the spontaneity of never knowing what you will get from vending machines, so I thought it would be so cool to put zines into capsules and let people take the chance. The Project is called S.A.Z — Small Ass Zines! I do have a tumblr url for it: http://smallasszines.
Keep on top of the Tumblr and be sure to stop by Ness’ bubblegum machine at Canzine on Sunday October 20. We think this is really really awesome!
