Seeing as how we are very cool and trendsetting with our Dystopic Diorama Contest, it’s no surprise the Simpsons Trivia folks are doing it too. Choosing a favourite Simpsons scene, participants ought to make a shoe box size diorama to win the audience’s cheer at the event.

Sometimes an obsession with the grotesque is born in unlikely places. Kier-La Janisse of the Miskatonic Institute of Horror Studies presents some of the most notorious educational films and public service announcements to show how danger and gore in the classroom might have spawned a generation of horror lovers.

An epic celebration of the the Pope of Trash including performances by a slew of Toronto queerlebrities and a 3D viewing presented in ODORAMA vision (supposedly) and tunes by DJ Stacie Ant.

Indian Diaspora Festival, 7pm, Palmerston Library Theatre, 560 Palmerston Avenue, $20
The Indian Diaspora Festival premieres this year, launched by Toronto Tabla Ensemble. It is a unique festival in that it embraces artists of Indian traditions who have been educated in the West, particularly in Canada. Performances of tabla music and kathak dance will be the main events.
