Like its title suggests, Creamsicle Stick Shivs is a sweet, sticky collection of poems. But Stiles is rarely the “Nice Boy in a Church Pew” he seems so desperate to portray. Lick by lick, he shows you a greater sense of what’s underneath. The result may shock you. (Shawn Collins)
