A man keeps an anthropomorphic bear in his house, rapes her multiple times until she finally leaves him to look for a place “where she really belongs” and will be “loved for who she is.” Gratuitous graphic hyper-close ups of rape scenes. Condescending storyline. Rape used as both a plot device, and for shock value to compensate for a weak plot. The author isn’t doing anything new, useful or interesting here, and this zine just pisses me off. (Sarah Pinder)
